Transport

New York has a convenient public transport system that runs 24/7, and New Yorkers of all kinds use it to get around. The basic $2.75 fare includes one free transfer. Buy a Metrocard at any subway station, or if you're arriving by air you can buy one at a Hudson news stand. Detailed system maps can be found at the MTA, and directions to anywhere can be found at Google Maps.

There is also a community bus that runs between Crown Heights and Borough Park. Catch it on President St, around the corner from Gombo's bakery.
